One day in seventh grade Sarah dropped her pencil case and when trying to pick it up a very naughty Alan Fox stomped on her left index finger and caused a fracture. The next five years were spent mending the relationship as Sarah had hard feelings and Al had no recollection of what terrible act he had caused. The next decade was spent wearing his football jersey, going out to dinner with his mom, playing guitar for her mom, going to country concerts, making a pact that if they weren’t married by thirty that they would marry each other and finally, falling in love with God first and friendship second.
Sarah had been begging Al to take some professional photos for the last few years, and she jumped on the opportunity to take Matt (a groomsman) up on an offer he posted on social media as he is an up and coming, very talented, photographer. Alan seemed to be dismayed, but that was a sham too, as he had a few special surprises of his own planned!
The three of them towed around the finger lakes, and at their last location, Long Pier in Geneva, Alan got down on one knee to seal the deal. Sarah said yes, nobody fell in the lake, they had some wine slushies, and the rest has been history!
